Dr. David Derthoo has been a cardiologist at the AZ Groeninge hospital in Kortrijk since 2013.
He has a special interest in the treatment of heart failure and cardiac rehabilitation.
He received his training at ZOL Genk and UZ Leuven.
In 2017 he started a transmural care pathway for heart failure in the South and Central West Flanders region.
Together with the Belgian Working Group on Heart Failure (BWGHF), he developed a uniform and holistic Belgian heart failure care pathway.
