Professor Brouwers is cardiology staff member at the OLVZ Aalst where she mainly focuses on arterial hypertension, dyslipidaemia and cardiac prevention and rehabilitation and Professor at the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy, Vrije Universiteit Brussel. Since 2020, she sits as Nucleus board member in the European Society of Cardiology (ESC) Council on Hypertension.
