Corinne Frere is Professor of Hematology at Sorbonne University, Paris, France.
Her main research interests include the management of antithrombotic therapy in patients with acute coronary syndrome (ACS), cancer-associated venous thromboembolism (VTE), and the perioperative management of anticoagulation, coagulopathy, and bleeding in patients undergoing surgery, procedural interventions, or in a critical care setting. Her contributions reflect her goal of making tangible improvements in these areas of healthcare.
She is currently Vice-chair of the SSC Subcommittee on Perioperative and Critical Care of the International Society on Thrombosis and Haemostasis (ISTH) and a member of the Steering Committee of the International Initiative on Thrombosis and Cancer (ITAC). She has contributed to the 2019 and 2022 updates of the ITAC clinical practice guidelines for the treatment and prophylaxis of VTE in patients with cancer published in Lancet Oncology.
