Prof. Dr. Werner Budts is an adult congenital cardiologist and the director of the Adult Congenital Heart Disease (ACHD) program at University Hospitals Leuven, Belgium. He is a professor at the Catholic University of Leuven, with a research focus on clinical ACHD and has over 380 peer-reviewed publications. Budts founded the Belgian Working Group on Adult Congenital Heart Disease and holds leadership positions in various European cardiology organizations. He actively contributes to clinical guidelines and serves as an associate editor for several prominent journals.
