Marilies De Kegel graduated as a Master of Science in Nursing from Ghent University. She is now a specialized heart failure nurse at AZ Delta and a member of the Belgian Association of Nurse Specialists (BVVS), where she is part of the education working group. She also serves on the board of the Belgian Heart Failure Nurses (BHFN). Marilies conducts heart failure consultations, specializes in echocardiography and heart failure education, and is actively involved in heart failure research studies.
