Tom De Potter is a cardiology assistant and PhD researcher with a primary focus on the exposomic risk of ischemic heart disease. He earned his medical degree at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel and an interuniversity degree in statistics and epidemiology at Sorbonne University, Paris. His key projects include EMIR, a national study investigating the exposomic risk of myocardial infarction, and ENACT, a HORIZON-HLTH project developing predictive models for acute vascular and non-vascular disease hospitalization. ENACT considers in particular the effects of the environment and climate change, and includes a clinical phase spanning five EU countries.
