In May 2021, I joined the Maasstad ICU. Maasstad Ziekenhuis is a top-clinical JCI-accredited community teaching hospital, part of Santeon cooperative association, where I work in a team of 9 staff intensivists (3 anesthesiologists, 3 cardiologists, 2 internists en 1 surgeon), together with junior intensivists, ventilation, circulation & renal practitioners, a research nurse, dedicated ICU nurses and residents. We strive for excellent patient care with focus on cardiac critical care, major abdominal and vascular surgery, sepsis, acute respiratory distress syndrome and severe burns. Maasstad aims to lead the way in digital healthcare & AI (Pacmed Critical) and telemonitoring. As intensivists, we are responsible for the ICU patient’s care at Van Weel-Bethesda Ziekenhuis (Gold Qmentum Global International). I coordinate (multicenter) clinical research.
