Dr Tiezzi graduated cum laude in Medicine at the University of Bologna (Italy). She then moved to Belgium where she graduated as a Cardiologist in September 2023 and obtained the Chapman Prize for best thesis. Throughout her medical training, she developed a specific interest in cardiopulmonary interactions as well as in vascular physiology and pathological remodeling. After several years of clinical experience, by the end of her residency she started a PhD at Université Libre de Bruxelles, leading two fundamental research projects focused on endothelial physiology. Her work experience combines medical knowledge with technical skills, to build research projects focused mainly on clinical questions and patients’ needs.
