Jean-Luc Vachiéry, MD is Clinical Professor of Cardiology and Director of the Pulmonary Vascular Diseases (PVD) and Heart Failure Clinic in the Department of Cardiology at the H.U.B Erasme in Brussels. Professor Vachiéry has authored over 100 articles in the field of PVD. He occupied several leadership positions in scientific societies since 2006 (ESC, BSC and ISHLT) and is Associate Editor for the Journal of Heart and Lung Transplantation. Pr Vachiéry co-chaired the Task Force on PH due to left heart diseases at the 5th, 6th and 7th World Symposium on Pulmonary Hypertension. He has been a member and section editor of the task force for guidelines on PH (ESC/ERS) in 2015 and 2022. Professor Vachiéry has participated in and led several educational activities in the field of PH since 2005 and is involved in invited speaker at international meetings of leading scientific societies (ESC, ERS, ISHLT, AHA).
