Prof. Dr. Emeline Van Craenenbroeck is a clinical cardiologist specialized in heart failure, transplantation, and cardiogenetics at Antwerp University Hospital.

She is a professor within the Research Group Cardiovascular Diseases (GENCOR) at the University of Antwerp. Her main clinical and research interests include heart failure, exercise training, and cardiomyopathies.

Dr. Van Craenenbroeck has established innovative clinical programs such as the Cardiogenetics Clinic and the Women’s Heart Clinic, underscoring her dedication to advancing patient care. She has authored over 180 articles in leading journals, including JAMA, Circulation, and the European Heart Journal. Additionally, she serves as an Associate Editor for the European Journal of Preventive Cardiology.

Her research has been supported by prestigious grants from organizations such as the FWO, the Foundation against Cancer, and the European Union. A committed mentor, she supervises multiple PhD students. Dr. Van Craenenbroeck also holds leadership roles in various scientific societies within the European Society of Cardiology and is a frequent invited speaker at international cardiology congresses across Europe and beyond
