Philippe van de Borne is a medical professional who earned his MD degree with top honors at the ‘Université Libre de Bruxelles’ in 1988 and completed his Cardiology training, culminating in a PhD in Cardiology in 1994. His doctoral thesis focused on blood pressure and heart rate variability. He spent 1994 to 1996 as a visiting Research Fogarty Fellow at the University of Iowa, working on autonomic dysregulation in heart failure for a NIH project. Dr. van de Borne’s interests lie in cardiovascular prevention, including hypertension, dyslipidemia, diabetes, thrombosis, and cardiac rehabilitation, along with expertise in echocardiography, clinical cardiology, teaching, and research.
