Dr. Karen Van den Bussche, a nursing graduate in 2010 and holder of a Master’s in Nursing and Midwifery since 2012, earned her Ph.D. in Life Sciences in 2018. During her doctoral studies, she specialized in developing and validating measurement tools for incontinence-associated dermatitis (IAD). Currently, Karen serves as a researcher at UZ Brussel’s Center for Cardiovascular Diseases, where her focus lies in developing and implementing Group Care the cardio-oncology clinic. In her role at Arteveldehogeschool Ghent, she contributes her expertise as a researcher to projects centered around a future-proof Primary Care.
